Le Jardin du Luxembourg

On June 11th, I spent the day traveling around Paris. I spent about an hour wondering through Le Jardin du Luxembourg. If I remember correctly, the park was donated to the city by Louis le XVIII sometime during the 19th century. The Palace, which you can see below, has been home to the Senate since the first French Revolution of 1789. The park reminded me of Central Park, but the grass was better kept here and there were less bums and more people making out.

Here are some more pictures of the gardens:

Hello, I'm Cassie said...

Soooo pretty! I actually read that the palace was built for one of the queen Medicis who wanted a replica of her palace in Italy because she was homesick... true?

Yes, Cassie, it is true. Ask my Mom about it if you like, she saw the building the palace was modeled off of in Italy. You are going to have such a good time in France!
